Isaac Awuondo is the Chairman of NCBA Group Kenya Plc since October 1st, 2019. He was previously the Group Managing Director of Commercial Bank of Africa Ltd for over 20 years. He is the Executive Chairman of BanqTech, the wholly owned Fintech business of NCBA Group PLC which is focused on the delivery of digital financial services in Africa in partnership with banks and Telcos. Mr. Awuondo enjoys and extensive experience in working in the banking industry. He is skilled in financial services, financial risk, corporate finance, business strategy, change management and people management. He led developments in the mobile and digital banking space through products like M-Shwari and Fuliza in Kenya in partnership with Safaricom and Telcos in four other markets (namely, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Ivory Coast). He is a professional chartered accountant who graduated from the University of Nairobi with a Bachelor of Commerce degree focused in Accounting and Finance.
